Project Details
This prestigious project forms a cornerstone of Indian Railways’ Mission 3000 MT loading target, focused on modernizing traction power infrastructure to enable higher axle loads, enhance reliability, and expand freight and passenger capacity in line with India’s vision of a future-ready, high-capacity railway network.
Multi Infra is executing the Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of Traction Substations (Scott-Connected) along with power quality compensating equipment, Switching Posts (SP), Sub-Sectioning Posts (SSP), and SCADA systems for the 2×25 kV AT feeding system on the Salem Junction – Coimbatore Junction / Podanur Junction section of the Salem Division, Southern Railway.
Scope of Work
- Detailed engineering and system design for 2×25 kV AT traction system
- Supply of Scott-connected traction transformers and associated equipment
- Erection and commissioning of 3 Traction Substations (TSS)
- Installation of 3 Switching Posts (SP) and 8 SSPs
- Integration of power quality compensating equipment
- SCADA system installation and remote monitoring integration
- Testing, commissioning, and compliance with RDSO & Indian Railways standards
